Kamala finally stops at that and nods. Okay that works. She doesn't think she can do this seven days a week yet. "Three days a week. I can manage that." She leans up to stretch, letting out a soft sigh as she does so." "You're really strong."
Kamala frowns. She's disappointed for Jasnah. It is still awesome she learned, but who wants to hear someone did it despite being put at a disadvantage? "That sucks. I thought maybe you came from one of those cool societies where ladies had the option of being trained since they were kids too. Not that they even do stuff like that where I'm from. Obviously." It's why none of this came naturally to her. Even Queen Medusa's training is still new and pretty kind to her.
"Right! I almost forgot your world was going through that." The sad part is she did. It can't be helped when you live in the chaos of her world. The universe dies and gets reset a lot. Kamala may not remember it, but somewhere deep down everyone knows something went wrong along the way. "But, we'll definitely make it home. We have super smart people on the case like Karen and Joe."
"The detective? He found my bangles." Kamala holds up her wrist to show them off; all fused together to make them almost look like armor. "He's like one of those noir guys who lost everything over a case, but still pursued it anyways? Super cool if you ask me... You know minus the part where he lost everything."
Kamala is so confused by the question. "A wedding gift to the bride? She passed them down to her daughter and then her daughter's daughter, and then you get the picture."

She decides, picking a more sustainable pace.
"Give your muscles time to learn, but also to heal."

She reassures her, quietly.
"My cousins have me at a disadvantage. Boys are trained from childhood."

Answers Jasnah, absolutely believing in her ability to bend the world to her will. Only one small caveat.
"Provided we survive the coming apocalypse. And that I'm returned home at all."
Two, then.

She asks, drawing her hair out of her face. She knows Karen, but the second name is unfamiliar.

She checks, since she's missing a cultural reference there or two. She comes over to peer at the bangles.
"What are they?"
It's clearly not just ornamental.
