[ It was always difficult to track the days passing on the station. Without the benefit of external cues like sunrise and sunset, it was all too easy to lose track of time under normal circumstances. With the music preventing anything resembling sleep, it's hard to tell if it's hours or days passing. Either way, it's been some time since Erik saw Kamala. Long enough that he's begun to worry.
So he seeks her out in her room. There is, of course, a second consideration weighing on his mind. She hasn't had much to say to him since he revealed his true identity. He thought that given enough time she would get over the shock and come to him. But that hasn't happened. If she truly does not want anything to do with him, he will respect her wishes. But he owes it to the both of them to try to make amends, if such things are necessary.
[She didn't mean to ghost him. It's just that one day he announced he shared the same name as a noted crazy person who wants to kill everyone and she panicked. She meant to say something and then she didn't. It's the most teenager-y thing Kamala could have done under the circumstances. She put off dealing with a complicated thing until the complicated thing turned up on her doorstep.
She could turn him away. She knows logically she should tell him to get lost. Kamala doesn't get genocidal vibes from Hen- Erik. He just seems like a man who has been through a lot and still showed kindness to a girl on the first day of her kidnapping. How can she turn him away?] Yeah, but only because I'm ninety percent sure you are one of the few who wouldn't get violent and crazy around a teenager. [Kamala makes it sound like a joke even while being dead serious.] I can't believe that's a thing I worry about now.
[She unlocks the door remotely without getting out of bed. Kamala is pretty wiped at this point. She knows he'll pick up on this being bigger than exhaustion. Girls with healing powers usually don't have dark circles under their eyes and can't find the energy to get out of bed. She waves at him when he comes through.] Hey.
[ He's not going to force it. If hse told him to go, he would without argument. He does smile at her comment. Wryly. ]
Depends on the teenager, to be perfectly honest. [ And the circumstances the teenager is in. And what state he is in. It's also a joke that isn't really a joke. ] You should give me a list of the others. Maybe I should talk to them.
[ His brow creases deeply in concern when she opens the door, and he steps lightly to her bed. ]
Are you ill? What happened.
[ He crouches next to the bed and reaches by instinct to smooth her hair back from her forehead, but stops himself before touching her. ]
[It's so dad-like it really messes with her. The question too. She tries to stall like the great second child she is.] Heh. I mean the only one I know is Venus who tells everyone she meets that she's the devil so does that count?
[He isn't going to let this go so she opts for honesty.] Not to scare you.... more but, a combination of healing a ton and not eating? I'm ninety percent sure our food is drugged to make us go crazy and my body is trying to fix the damage I got before I stopped eating. We don't need someone with my powers going crazy.
[What a vague and confusing explanation she's giving here.]

Kamala? May I come in?
